Project Life style page ~ Flower Garden

Hello everyone! Today I thought I would share a page that I made with a Project Life style look to it.  If you are not familiar with Project Life I will give you a brief description.  Project Life is a style that is supposed to make scrapbooking easy so that you can get your photos out of your computer or phone and into pages.  They are based on "pockets" and you slip your photos into some of the pocket and journaling cards and accents into the rest of the pockets.  Stampin' Up! got into digital pocket cards a while back and partnered with Becky Higgins (the creator of Project Life) two catalogs ago to make paper and digital pockets cards.  I am coping that idea hear by adding paper boxes and photo boxes to my digital page.  I used papers and embellishments from the Sunny Day kit for this page.  FYI the sunny day kit is part of the Express Booster Pack which I have available in my digital content CD's, click the tab above to see all the CD's that are available.
This page is of my Wednesday night religious Ed class. These kids really enjoyed making the flowers for our poster.  They love it when the projects involve liquid glue or paint.  They also like to look through our class photo album and remember our past projects, so I keep a scrapbook in the room and sometimes bring it out when one of my past kids come by to say "Hi".

My Super Daughter!

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a fun page of my daughter Jillian.  She participated in the summer reading program at the library and the theme this year was super heroes.  My kids all love super heroes so they all really got into it.  The library had lots of super fun things for the kids to do, including a dress up bin full of costumes.  There was a game with a row of phone booths and you had to go into a phone booth and get your costume on, and the first to finish was the winner. Jillian choose lots of super hero themed books to read and completed the whole summer challenge.
I had this kit that I bought a while back because I thought it was so cute, and then when I looked at these photos I was so happy to get a chance to use my kit!  It is called My Hero by Kayne Winiecki.  I know I will get some more fun pages out of this kit with my boys too.  It comes with 10 papers and a bunch of embellishments.  Very fun.  I think that this designer has a lot of fun kits, many with doodle images which I really like.  You can see this kit here at the Lilypad.

Here is my comic book inspired sketch.  Hope you find it fun!  If you make a page I would love to see it!  Feel free to share it with me on my Facebook page! Let's inspire one another!

First Catch

I only had one photo from this day, sent to me by the scout master.  I love that he was so thoughtful and sent the photo since I was not at the actual event.   David and his troop learned how to make their own flies and practiced fly fishing. David was one of the lucky few who actually caught a fish that day.

I used a kit that was on sale at Sweet Shoppe Designs, probably no longer on sale but maybe will be again soon and even if it is not, i think the price is really nice and I love the little embellishments in the kit.  It is called By The Seaside: Miscellany, by Zoe Pearn.  I just bought the little add on kit, there is a bigger kit that goes with it that has a lot of papers and I may have to go back and get that one as well.  It has 2 sets of alphabet embellishments in denim and canvas, and a lot of really pretty papers.
I love the little pinwheels and the doilies.  very cute!
here is a link if you want to check it out.
There is a lot of great content at this site and I  have gotten a few notices on sales so check it often. I think I got the kit on sale for $0.99!

Lucky Day

Hello everyone.  I have a cute page today of  my son Zachary.  He found a four leaf clover while playing in the yard and he was just so happy.  He came running into the house shouting "MOM, MOM!" and I was worried something bad happened but his smile assured me this was not the case.  We pressed the clover in a book and will check it in a few weeks, maybe we will make it into a book mark.

Here is the sketch. My page was super simple because it was a template from My Digital Studio, but since that is no longer available I created a simple sketch page for you to follow.
